What have I been up to?

I feel like I am so busy lately. This morning I was thinking and I was like why do I feel so busy? Then I realized why...

First off I take care of this little Lady 24/7 :)
Then I take care of this munchkin two days a week. :)

My sister and I have recently become independent consultants selling accessories and it is taking off REALLY well! Yay!

I made this...
with no pattern:)
Oh, and did I mention that I am also working two days a week. :) So, if you have noticed I have not been posting quite as regularly hopefully this will explain why. :)

Time to clean my rather neglected house ;P
Happy Friday!

Crocheted Hats with Flowers

I found this pattern for crocheted hats a while back and I am addicted to making them now!:) They are a good way to use up yarn I had laying around! They are so fast and easy to make! The flowers are also super fast and easy to make! I made one in about an hour yesterday. (In between taking care of the girls.) The one I made yesterday I experimented with and made it striped and I really like how it looks!

Here is a few pictures of them.
My cute little niece wearing the had I made for her.:)
The pink one is the first one I made and I think I like how the other two turned out a little better.

My little cutie wearing her new pink hat.
My little cutie wearing her new white hat and her cousin wearing her new striped hat. :) We went for a walk yesterday because it was such gorgeous weather! Cold but sunny!!
*Sorry about the quality of the last two pic's. I took them on my phone.

Spaghettie sauce recipe #4

This recipe is another favorite of mine. I got this one from my mom. When I make this recipe I am cooking for two. If you need it for more than that you will have to adjust accordingly. :)

Chicken Parmesan
2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
1 egg
1/2 cup seasoned bread crumbs
1t parsley flakes
1 jar spaghetti sauce (or less depending how many you are making food for)
Noodles (As many as you think you will need.I am always horrible at guessing how many I will need!)
Butter

1. Pound chicken breasts flat. ( I usually put them in between two pieces of plastic wrap and use a rolling pin.)
2. Beat the egg in a bowl.
3. Mix the bread crumbs and parsley.
4. Dip the chicken in the egg and then the bread crumbs.
5. Fry in buttered pan until golden brown and chicken is cooked through.
6. Serve over cooked noodles with spaghetti sauce on top.

* This is a good recipe for when I need to make dinner in a hurry.:)
**Sorry I don't have a picture to go with this one. It has been a little while since I made it.:)

That is all I have to share for spaghetti recipes for now. Does anyone else have a good spaghetti sauce recipe to share? Please do tell!

Spaghetti Sauce Recipe #3

This is the really yummy recipe I was saying I found recently. I made it the other night and my husband LOVED it! He doesn't always get so enthusiastic about new recipes so I was excited to find another recipe he loves and I also love. Yay!

Sorry I didn't get any pictures before half of it was devoured.:)

The Recipe:
Stuffed Jumbo Shells
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
1 box jumbo shells
1/4 t fresh ground black pepper
1 lb ground beef
1/8t ground nutmeg
2 T oil
1 egg
1 bag baby spinach(optional)
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
1 cup finely chopped onion
1 jar spaghetti sauce
1 clove garlic, minced
1 cup mozzarella cheese
1 t salt (I would do a little less)
1/3 cup water from cooking the pasta

1. Cook the pasta shells according to the package directions.
2. Brown the ground beef.
3. Add oil, spinach, onion, garlic, pasta water, and cook for 10min. Stir occasionally.
4. Add seasoning. Stir and then let cool.
5. Add egg and parmesan cheese.
6. Poor 1 cup of sauce in the bottom of a 9x13 pan. Fill shells with meat mixture and line up in pan. Cover with the remaining sauce. Sprinkle with the mozzarella cheese and then cover with tin foil.
7. Bake for 30 min or until heated through.
8. Enjoy!!
*I served garlic toast and salad with it when I made this recipe.

Check back on Thursday for the next recipe using spaghetti sauce.

Uses for Spaghetti Sauce

I love having a good supply of spaghetti sauce in the house. I always have some in my pantry because I stock up on it when it goes on sale for $1 or $1.50. The other day I used a partial jar of sauce and was trying to figure out what to make with the rest and I found a really yummy recipe in the process. The next couple days I am going to try and post the recipes I have tried and liked.

First and most obvious is spaghetti. It doesn't get much easier than this. Just open up a jar, heat it, add hamburger or meatballs, and then serve it over some noodles.

Another quick and easy way to use it is to take tortilla shells and put them in a frying pan. Smear some spaghetti sauce on top and then add either cheddar or mozzarella cheese. I also like to add some meat on top for a little extra flavor. Just cook them until they look nice and brown on the bottom and the cheese is melted. Last put them on a plate and cut with a pizza cutter. Enjoy!
This is the way my husband likes them. Just a little sauce and a little cheddar cheese.
I on the other hand like them this way. I like more sauce, lots of cheese, and meat. I also like to place another tortilla shell on top and then flip it to get both sides nice and crunchy.
I used left over chicken from dinner the night before and then extra hamburger I had from a previous meal I had made. This also makes it a great way to use up some left overs.:)

Be sure and check back Monday for the really yummy recipe I found!

Nursery Wall Hanging

I thought I would share how I made the wall hanging I have in my daughter's nursery. I made it before she was born so I do not have her name on it. We did not find out before hand if she was a girl or boy. I loved the surprise when she was born. I think I will always keep it a surprise.:)

I used scrap fabric that matched the changing pad cover I made for the top right and bottom left corners. I just glued it on with a glue stick because I did not have a hot glue gun at the time. I then added the stickers to spell out baby.
In this corner I added a scrapbooking embellishment that says" growing".
In the top left corner I glued down a piece of brown scrapbooking paper. Then I added the bow and picture.
In the bottom right corner I also glued a piece of the brown paper. I then added ribbon that matched the ribbon on the top corner and added another picture.
I then added this letter "b" I found at a thrift store for $ .30! I glued this on with glue dots.
I added brown paper to the sides to hide the orange paint that was there from the original picture.
I added ultrasound pictures and then it was finished!
